The Rising Stars:
These are the newest hybrids climbing towards the top of our lineup. They’re the ones we’ve been watching all summer, waiting to share their results with you. Catch ‘em while they’re hot.
LG63C82: A new product that’s all about yield. It’s a showy, attractive hybrid with great grain quality. DroughtGuard® technology and strong root and stalk characteristics provide durability to help farmers mitigate stress. The hybrid is also available as VT Double PRO® (VT2PRO) for growing areas that require a structured refuge.
LG53C88: A dual purpose hybrid that offers new, unique genetics with great tar spot and Goss’s wilt tolerance. This hybrid is adapted to work for both silage and grain production. If you’re located across the Corn Belt, count on this hybrid to be a yield leader for its maturity and consistent performance.
LG66C06: A big, robust hybrid with stellar grain quality. LG66C06 is a true problem solver that stands strong against the toughest disease opposition. It was a top-performer in full-season field research trials and is available with LG29C19. Offering a shorter relative-maturity, this 79-day hybrid offers medium-tall saturated plants with attractive harvest looks and top-end yield potential.
LG29C19: An agronomically sound hybrid that allows for positioning across many soil types and adapted areas – especially those requiring extra drought tolerance or have early planting needs. This is an excellent option for grain or silage use.
LG59C72: A true workhorse hybrid. Despite adverse environmental conditions, this hybrid packed a punch on the yield monitor in seasons past. It offers a broad acre fit across the Corn Belt and can be planted anywhere the maturity is appropriate. Count on this hybrid to have a high tolerance to heat while offering good ratings for tar spot, anthracnose stalk rot, gray leaf spot, Goss’s wilt, and northern corn leaf blight.
The Old Reliables:
LG37C33: If you’re searching for a shorter relative-maturity hybrid, look no further. LG37C33 is a high-performing, 87-day hybrid fit for the northern Corn Belt. Because of its 87-day RM, it is well adapted to early season environments and allows for above-average late season intactness, fast drydown, and good stalks. For growers looking to plant early in acres susceptible to northern corn leaf blight, this is a great option.
LG66C44: Looking for an MVP to add to your lineup? Count on LG66C44 to be just that, and more. It offers top yield potential with healthy ears that have good flex in both girth and length. It offers a robust plant canopy that aids in full season weed control on acres that have pesky weed populations. Not only is this MVP showy, but it also comes with an excellent disease package with high tolerance scores for anthracnose stalk rot, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, and southern rust.
LG64C20: This medium-height, 114-day relative maturity hybrid has high yield potential when used as a full-season product, especially from east to west across the central Corn Belt. Count on this hybrid to perform to your standards in no-till or early planting situations. If you’re looking for a product that offers good greensnap, gray leaf spot, southern rust, tar spot, and Physoderma ratings, LG64C20 is the product for you.
LG5525: Our proven leader for the 105-day relative maturity hybrids. It produces medium-tall plants that are widely adapted across geographies, handling all manner of soils: from tough and variable to highly productive. Count on this hybrid to bring outstanding yield potential with excellent test weight and hard endosperm grain.
LG51C62: An exciting, high-yielding option in the 101-day relative maturity with large, wide, deep kernels. For those working with dryland acres, lean on this hybrid to adapt well to the environment and perform to your expectations. It offers great tolerance to greensnap and northern corn leaf blight.
