Using the term “Digital Ag” prompts many growers to think of yield maps, variable rate prescriptions, satellite imagery, etc. All that functionality does provide great value to growers, but it’s a common misconception that not everyone has the capability to use Digital Ag. Regardless of the technology, or lack of technology, you have in your equipment, Advantage Acre® can add value on your farm.

First and foremost, Advantage Acre is a planning tool. It provides an easy platform to input field plans and look ahead to the upcoming growing season. Using future weather trend data from WeatherTrends360® gives you the ability to glimpse into the future at what potential weather patterns may be present in your area for the upcoming growing season (pictured below).

Functional Soil Maps (pictured above) are another benefit a grower has with Advantage Acre. Functional Soil Maps use statistical models and data science with accurate 3D elevation measurements to understand the relationship between soil properties, field topography, and water movement across that topography and through the soil profile. The hard lines from the USDA (SSURGO) map are replaced with transitional areas that provide a better understanding of the relationship of soil, weather, and seed.

Advantage Acre can be used by all growers, regardless of the technology in their equipment. Pairing these features with the product knowledge of your LG Seeds STAR Partner and Technical Team Agronomist allow you to evaluate different weather scenarios and create a hybrid mix customized to your farm.
